Tax Holiday Dates for 2009: August 7, 8, and 9...
The State of Missouri offers a tax holiday held every year during the first weekend of August. During this time, you can save the state sales tax (4.225%) on computer equipment, as well as other school supplies, bought in the state of Missouri. You will, however, have to pay local taxes (3.375%).
If you would like to preorder a computer for MinerTech to hold until tax holiday, just let us know. We will not officially be taking orders for tax holiday until July, but can take them sooner upon request. Keep in mind that you will not be able to get your computer until the first weekend of August at the earliest.
By law, we will have to ring the computer through our registers on that weekend, we can then ship your computer to you (shipping charges apply), or hold it until you're ready to pick it up (even if that means when the semester starts). It's completely up to you. If you intend to pay with the student purchase plan, all paperwork must be done in advance to ensure that we will receive payment on that weekend.
